Honoring Buddy: Our Beloved Feline Prankster

Many of you first met Buddy as “The Prankster,” the mischievous feline whose impeccable timing, playful disruptions, and intuitive nudges shaped the unfolding of The Case of the Feline Prankster. Today, I want to share that Buddy has crossed the great divide.

He left the way only Buddy would: quietly, decisively, and with a sense of cosmic precision. It was the Spring Equinox, a day of balance and renewal. He was in perfect health, fully himself, and then simply chose his moment. Those who followed his antics will understand — even his departure carried a teaching.

Buddy’s role in the Inspector Provost stories was never just a character on the page. His real-life presence inspired every missing puzzle piece, every vanished explorer, every moment when intuition whispered, “Look again.” His pranks were invitations to notice the subtle, to trust the nudge, to remember that play is often the doorway to insight.

He taught through delight. He taught through timing. He taught through the gentle mischief that made you pause and smile.

Though he no longer pads across the floor, his presence hasn’t dimmed. Buddy continues to teach — about eternity, about the fluid nature of consciousness, and about the limitless ways we express ourselves across realms. His spirit remains woven into the Inspector Provost mysteries, into the lessons he inspired, and into the hearts of those who recognized the deeper magic behind his pranks.

This isn’t a case closed. It’s a case evolving. Buddy is simply mastering the next chapter — the lessons of eternal, limitless design.

Buddy, our beloved Prankster, lives on in our hearts.
