Starseed Malta Adventure 2019 – Honoring the Mother Goddess and Malta’s Neolithic Past.

Starseed Malta Adventure 2019 with Althea Provost offered a 6‑day, 5‑night immersion into Malta and Gozo’s ancient megalithic temples — honoring the Mother Goddess, the priestesses, and the echoes of a forgotten matriarchal culture.

Participants stepped into a living timeline, exploring Neolithic sites, archaeoacoustics, and the mysteries of the Hypogeum while reconnecting to their own inner temple.

Awakening the Feminine Through Sacred Sites

Honoring Malta’s Neolithic Goddess Culture

As we moved deeper into Starseed Malta Adventure 2019, our focus naturally turned toward Malta’s ancient matriarchal heritage. The island’s Neolithic temples carry the imprint of a goddess‑centered culture, one that expressed reverence through architecture, ceremony, and community.

Throughout our time together, we explored how these sacred sites once honored the Mother Goddess and the priestesses who served her. In doing so, we reconnected with the feminine wisdom encoded in stone, symbol, and sound — a remembrance that continued to unfold as we visited each temple and museum across Valletta and Gozo.

Exploring the Temples of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra

As our exploration deepened, the temples of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra revealed how Malta’s Neolithic culture expressed its devotion through stone, alignment, and celestial observation. These sacred structures hold the imprint of a goddess‑centered worldview — from the womb‑like chambers of Ħaġar Qim to the lunar notations and solar alignments carved into Mnajdra’s lintels. Standing within these ancient spaces, our group experienced the resonance of a civilization that honored the rhythms of the earth, moon, and stars.

Lenie Reedijk and the Sirius Connection

Lenie Reedijk’s research offers a compelling lens through which to view Malta’s megalithic temples. Her work proposes that these ancient structures may have been oriented not only to the sun and moon, but also to Sirius — the brightest star in the night sky and a celestial marker revered in many ancient cultures. This perspective invites us to consider a far more sophisticated Neolithic understanding of the heavens than conventional archaeology currently acknowledges.

“When we look at Malta’s temples through the lens of archaeoastronomy, a different story emerges — one that speaks of a people who aligned their lives with the rhythms of the cosmos. Sirius becomes not just a star, but a guidepost to understanding who they were.”
— Lenie Reedijk, InnerTV with Althea Provost

Key Themes from Our Conversation

  • Were Malta’s temples oriented to Sirius?
Reedijk suggests that several temple axes align with the heliacal rising of Sirius, indicating intentional stellar orientation.
  • Why she challenges conventional archaeological dating
Using astronomical back‑calculations, Reedijk proposes that some Maltese temples may be older than traditionally believed, pushing their origins deeper into prehistory.
  • Possibility of a peaceful, matriarchal society
Her work supports the idea that Malta once held a harmonious, goddess‑centered culture — one that honored the feminine, the earth, and celestial cycles.

  • Archaeoastronomy & the precession of the equinoxes
Reedijk uses the slow wobble of Earth’s axis to track how temple alignments shift over millennia, offering clues to when these structures were first oriented to the stars.
  • Opening new doors to our ancient past
Her research invites a re‑examination of Malta’s temples as part of a larger, interconnected spiritual tradition — one that may have encoded cosmological knowledge in stone.

Starseed Malta Adventure 2019 | A Resonance With My Own Path

My InnerTV conversation with Lenie Reedijk touches a thread that runs through my own life’s work — following the stars, the signs, and the inner guidance even when conventional narratives fall short. Her research into Sirius and Malta’s ancient temples mirrors the same willingness to look beyond accepted timelines and trust what perception reveals.

I explore this theme in my memoir, Four Aliens and a Funeral: A Memoir of Perception, a true story about navigating multidimensional experiences, listening to inner truth, and honoring the leads that appear when we dare to look up and look within.

Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum & Nearby Temples

Our time in Malta included a profound visit to the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, an underground Neolithic temple and burial complex carved entirely from limestone. Known for its remarkable acoustics and womb‑like chambers, the Hypogeum offered a powerful descent into the underworld aspect of Malta’s goddess culture.

I had prepared a presentation on the archaeoacoustics of the Hypogeum, and during our visit I was able to test the resonant frequencies within the chamber. The sound behaved exactly as described in the research—amplifying, vibrating, and moving through the space in ways that felt both ancient and intentional. Experiencing this firsthand added a deeper layer to our understanding of how sound may have been used ceremonially thousands of years ago.

Before Our Scheduled Entry, The Tarxien Experience

Before our scheduled entry into the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, we walked through the surrounding neighborhood to visit the Tarxien Temples, a major UNESCO World Heritage megalithic site located just minutes away in Paola.

The moment we arrived, the energy was unmistakable. One starseed in our group had such an immediate and intense reaction—feeling as if she were burning up—that I had to pause our walk and tend to her before continuing. The force of the site surprised all of us, and it echoed the energetic impact I felt later that day after emerging from the Hypogeum. These experiences revealed just how alive Malta’s sacred landscape still is, and how deeply these ancient structures continue to interact with those who visit them.

So Many Temples… and the Museums Were Just as Good

Malta & Gozo’s Museums during Starseed Malta Adventure 2019

Our adventure didn’t stop at the temples themselves. We also visited the archaeological museums on Gozo, in Valletta, and at the temple sites of Ħaġar Qim and the Ġgantija Archaeological Park.

Each museum offered its own outstanding collection of goddess figurines, tools, extensive jewelry, temple models, and artifacts from Malta’s Neolithic culture, giving us a deeper appreciation for the people who built these sacred sites.
